This page will contain requests for Housing that have been distributed to our network along with updates as we receive them.

Requests are in chronological order so scroll down the page and look for dates in both columns.  If there is no email for a contact then email me;  insidethebishopbox@hotmail.com for direct or member contact.

There has been some questions as to how to read this page;  There are two columns to this page.  On each side there are various postings for assistance.  Each posting begins with a Status Date.  That status date can be followed by interim updates and summaries of the requestors -or- a questionnaire as filled out by the requestor.   I also publish, contrary to any objections, information that has been sent to me regarding their review and discussion with a possible evacuee since I don't typically review a candidate nor do any discussions or research on background cheks.

If there is a contact email, it will be listed and you simply email the individual for more information.  If there is no email, then simply email me for more detail and contact information.

Status;  9/29/05 posted to site.  Received from a networking member.

This family really needs to be somewhere where there is public
transportation  (we live in a rural community).  I spoke with her yesterday
and told her I'd see if I could help her find something that works for them.
>The info I got from our conversation was:

2 boys (2nd & 4th grade), 1 girl (K)
They both need to find jobs - one does Cert. Nursing Assistant type work and
the other can do light industrial or painting jobs.

They lived south of Hattiesburg, MS and were flooded out.  A church group
took them to Daytona and they are living in the church hall now.

This was the request:

This site places housing requests for the convenience of those wishing to provide shelter to evacuees.  The decision to accept, review and determine if it is a good fit rests soley with the offeror.  This site does not do any preliminary review or checks of an individual(s) requesting shelter or confirmation that they are from the Katrina affected area.
